Housing

The IBS Team is pleased to offer different housing options to meet your needs this summer while you enjoy studying God's word in Fort Collins. Summer student life in Colorado is wonderful, and Team17 has been hard at work securing quality housing to make life as comfortable as possible. Please read on for more information.

Families

Since 2011, it has become increasingly difficult to secure off-campus housing. Management companies in Fort Collins used to write ten-month leases, which provided us with an abundance of apartments during the summer. This is no longer the case. With increased demand, 12 month leases have become the norm. Most apartment complexes are at occupancy. New apartments are being built but the supply lags behind demand.

Because of this situation, we have very limited off-campus housing this summer. We want to make sure that every family assigned to IBS has housing. Allocation of apartments this summer will be based on family-size, length of stay and the number of IBS courses both spouses are taking. If you are a smaller family (i.e., 1-2 kids), we would encourage you to consider sharing an apartment with another family. The more families that share, the more families we can accommodate. If you send an email to ibs.info@cru.org, we can give you a list of other families coming to IBS and MTL training. When you register, there will be an option to give the name of someone you would like to share an apartment with.  (Be sure you talk with them before you give us their name.)

You can learn more about off-campus housing options here. You will request your housing when you register for IBS. You may arrive either Tuesday, June 13 or Wednesday, June 14. Registration will be Wednesday afternoon, June 14. Be sure to indicate your correct arrival date when you register.

If you have questions about off-campus housing, send an email to Cru17.offcampus@cru.org.

Singles and Couples

Singles and couples without children will live on campus.  You have a number of options from which to choose this summer including air-conditioned rooms with private, semi-private, or community bathrooms (see floorplans in Laurel Village).  You'll find detailed information here.  To help save costs and give you more flexibility, we excluded breakfast from our meal contract this summer.  (Of course you can still purchase breakfast on your own on any given day.)
